How to Celebrate You!

We all need to Celebrate ourselves once in while, or more often than that. Celebrating ourselves is a form of self love and we all could use a little or a lot more of that in our lives as well. So today I am going to share some of my best and favorite ways to celebrate me and love myself. Perhaps you will feel inspired to do some for yourself, or come up with your own that honor and celebrate the amazing you that you are. It's amazing how good it feels when we take some time out of our days to do something we love.

 

Here is my list of self love ideas to Celebrate You!

 

Take a long hot bath with epsom salts, essential oils, candle light, and soft music.

Take yourself out on a date. Be it dinner, a movie, or something else you love to do just for you.

(I just took myself out for organic icecream the other day and it was great.)

Play some fun music, dance, and sing around the house, and really enjoy yourself.

Laugh, a lot. Watch a funny movie or a good stand up comic show. Or better yet go to a live comedy show if you can. You can meet up with some funny friends and tell stories until you can't laugh anymore.

Paint your toes.

Get a massage.

Hug an animal. 

Go for a hike or spend time in nature in some way. Even just sitting in your yard for a bit can boost your mood and make you feel good. So get out and be in nature as often as you can.

Take a drive somewhere new and explore. This can look different for everyone, but doesn't make it any less fulfilling. You can drive to a new part of town, or try a new restaurant, go to a new town and ask the locals what they like best about their town and go do that, go out in the woods and read a book, there are so many options here, the point is to take the time and do it.

Take a walk.

Do some yoga.

Meditate.

Create space for yourself, using sage or essential oils, and salt. Make a sanctuary for yourself.

If you enjoy cooking, get in the kitchen and create.

If you don't know how to cook, take a class or learn how to make something new.

Try new things and continue to do the things you know you already love, be inspired, inspire others, share your love of these things, share your experiences, write, journal, read, explore your inner self, and find inner peace.

 

This is just the tip of the ice burg, there are so many other things you can do, use your imagination, and allow yourself to really get into doing things for you. It's okay to do them, know that you deserve great things and doing the things you love are included in that. Self love is not an option, it is a necessity that too many take for granted, or don't even allow themselves to even have and that's unfortunate. We all need time to ourselves, we all need the opportunity to do the things we love and enjoy, we all deserve to be happy and do what makes us feel good. That includes you.
